so happy that it's sad

Here I am again.... I love fangirling for Arashi... but sometimes, it's so fun that I get sad. lol. I just realize how Arashi stuff aren't readily available here. But I do owe my addiction to this fact because I think I won't be addicted to them if I had a very easy access to their shows, stuff.... etc.etc....

Himaaaaaaa!!!!

Free once again!

After Christmas, I still had to go to work... I thought I was going to have 2 more days off... but I didn't lolz... Anyway, I still have today, 31, 1, 2, 3, 4 as my vacation... hmmmm... short...

I left my laptop at the shop. Sad. ^n^. I'm gonna miss it.

I missed Shounen Club last Sunday! Well, not all of it. I was able to watch KAT-TUN's white Christmas and who was that? I don't know him but I still watched anyway.... At the end, once again, for the second time, I saw Arashi on my local cable TV... I have seen Jun before (on local tv) already but seeing all of them is different. It gives me a different kind of high. *_*

Kinokuniya here

Maybe a better plea would be having Popolo, Wink-up, Duet (and all the other magazines that frequently feature Arashi in their magazine) bring their products here.

Yes, not all of us can read or understand what's written on it but maybe we don't need knowledge of the language for us to understand the images right? (*-*)

Anyway... I'm so sad my laptop's gone crazy. I miss it so bad. Tomorrow I'm gonna have it fixed.

Found Myself a new Arashi-related addiction

So I've said that I'm currently taking up Nihongo classes. And I've been listening to Japanese songs all the time (L-Arc n Ciel, Kinki Kids, KAT-TUN, TOKIO...and of course Arashi-- atashi no daisuki!!!)... But I found out that that's just one thing...

So I looked for a way that maybe could help me sharpen my skills and is interesting...

Currently, I'm rough translating (as in translating each word to english first) some of their older magazine interviews.

It's not perfect, I can't barely understand the stuff... but I'm learning...

tanoshii!!!

Game Nikki (x) finished

Another post from this site: CLICK HERE

It says on her blog that Nino's stopped updating his Game Nikki (x) already.

It's quite a sad thing ne? I'm not directly affected by it coz I don't live in Japan (consequently I can't subscribe) but if I were able to I'd feel sad too.

I do hope he starts a new one.

Nikkis are really important ne. Both for the fans and for Nino.

Ryusei no Kizuna Finale -- Rating:

click HERE for the rest of the show's ratings.

Wow. RnK rated well didn't it? It went down the slopes, yes, but it had a good comeback with the final episode rating higher than the first one.

Nino!! You did it ne? Congratulations!!!

I hope Oh-chan manages to get the same ratings. ^^,

Yatter-man!!!

Site's up: http://www.yatterman-movie.com/

Looking forward to the movie. I'd want to see Sho's acting once again. It's been quite a long time since I last saw him on the screen acting... Well the mature Sho, that is. Coz I've been watching some chibi Sho dramas lately like the one with the guy from Tokio (gomen... I forgot his name... but I love him... ) and the one entitled "Otousan" which I think is a mini drama...

Anyway, I'd love to see the movie. Looking forward to it.

NHK Premium: Shounen Club Christmas Special

Last night, I was able to watch the Shounen Club's Christmas Special hosted by Nakamaru Yuichi (KAT-TUN) and Keiichiro Koyama (NEWS). I was so ecstatic. I was like in cloud 9 while watching the guys perform. I don't actually know everyone. Aside from the 2 emcees I only knew one more guy. I know his face but I don't know his name. He's part of A.B.C.-Z and is always immitating Jun's "Wish" dance.

Anyway, it was the first time I saw Arashi on local cable TV. Just a glimpse actually coz they appeared as teasers for next week's Shounen Club. They're going to have a report of the successful AAA concert tour.

Another thing... they had a game similar to "Name that tune" except that only a part of the intro was given... the game was divided into two parts. The first part was an easy round. They gave quite a long intro. I remember getting the first artist right but I was not able to guess the title. It was Kinki Kid's "Snow Snow Snow"... After that, I wasn't able to guess anything right already. I was waiting for an ARashi song. I'd seriously bang my head on the wall if I wasn't able to guess an Arashi song right!!
The second round was difficult. The clue they gave was just a tiny bit of the intro. Maybe just one second of it. But I think I've proven myself worthy of being an Arashi fangirl coz I was able to guess their song. That guy from A.B.C.-Z was able to guess it. It was Arashi's "Wish"... And he sang and immitated Jun's way of dancing once again. ^^, I don't find him offensive as Arashi's fangirl.

Looking forward to next Sunday!!

Here's something that'll surley make your day. ^^,

I was once again cleaning up my lj inbox and I stumbled upon this post: PERKMEUP

Yes, Arashi alone cheers me up. Even Arashi doing boring stuff perks me up. But (the link above) is way better. ^^, Somehow it makes me feel good and yeah, it does cheer me up.

Ryuzei no Kizuna 10 - Final?

Sniff sniff... Nino's drama is already going to end. ^n^....
But I am still happy for the success that it got...

Aiba has Greenfingers?

Aiba's Arashi's nature man... lol.

Anyway, aside from being an animal tensai or an animal genius in his regular "Tensai Shimura Doubutsuen" he is soon going to set the stage on fire with his butai (play) "Greenfingers"

The play is based on a film shown last 2000 about a guy who discovers that he has greenfingers while he's in prison. It started as a task that he should finish but he soon discovers that gardening is more than just a task and that he had what it takes to show his products off in the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. (Credits to: Wikipedia)

I wonder how Aiba's gonna pull this off. ^^, Imagining him in a play like this is a bit difficult... Aiba and plants... hmmmm... lol...

I miss fangirling...

I've been quite busy with stuff lately... I have work and school to attend to so I barely have time to do other things anymore... I could afford to squeeze my addiction into my schedule but the next day, I'd be good as dead... lethargic and unable to think... Plus Christmas is really a very busy season... Gift-buying, shopping... snaking your way through crowded malls...

Haaaaa!!! That's why I'm so looking forward to the Christmas break... but I think I only have 24,25,and 26 for the Christmas break then 28,29,30,31,1,2,3,4 for the New year... not bad... I have enough neh? I'm going to drown myself (once more) with a lot of Arashi goodness... After all, I deserve a break don't I?

Petition: Kinokuniya in the Philippines please!!

Just joining the bandwagon (although I don't know if it's still in hehe).

But I do want a Kinokuniya franchise here in the Philippines.

Onegaishimasu!!!

Quoting Nino's Interview

When do you think a woman is sexy?

I guess when she is working? Doing her best in whatever she does?
Like when she is concentrating on something. [laughs]
hen she is working? Doing her best in whatever she does?

CREDITS TO: this post

Funny... I was so happy after reading this. Coz I've mentioned it a number of times already that I look up to guys who do things with passion. That's when guys become --not sexy-- but more attractive. ^^, Nino... yappari... among all the members, I think you're the most matured member. Aside from Sho.

Aiba month

Flooding my own blog. ^^,

I almost forgot, it's Aiba's month!!!

My first Christmas fangirling for Arashi. ^^, So far, I've been able to say happy birthday to Nino on his birthday, Jun on his birthday, Ohno on his... Aiba on his upcoming birthday... and Sho on his upcoming birthday too...

What's your favorite Arashi show?

Arashi has had quite a number of shows already. Mago Mago Arashi, D no Arashi, GRA, VS Arashi, Arashi no Shukudai-kun, Himitsu no Arashi Chan plus some of their older shows that I may have forgotten to mention. And among all their shows, I think the best one that I've watched is ANS...

ANS because it's the only show I've watched at least from start to finish... And every episode is really laughter packed. I just love it.

Ohno's New Drama: Uta no Onii-san

Where have I been?! I was just away for 4 days and here comes a new Ohno drama?!!! 3 days...

Anyway I'm so looking forward to Ohno's drama... Thank you to whoever conceptualized this... I was wishing for a light and funny Ohno drama, here it is...

I don't know the details yet but I've seen a promo trailer... here

I'm sad but happy at the same time... sad coz Nino's drama is going to end soon already but I'm happy coz Ohno's gonna dominate the drama scene after him.

But I'd also want to see a Jun, Aiba, or Sho drama.
JunとAibaとShoのドラマおねがいします。

I'm back...

The previous week was definitely exhausting... Everything happened so fast that I can't even remember what happened...

Be away for the next few days...

I'm gonna leave the fandom for a while. Maybe just for three days. I may not be able to do anything Arashi related from now until the week ends. But I'm looking forward to this weekend. ^^,

嵐がすきだ!土曜日に嵐のShowsをみたいです。

Some Arashi AAA Picspam

I think Jun's bangs doesn't suit him. lol. He looks great (drop dead awesome) with his bangs swept away from his forehead.

Be picspammed

thanks to the original uploader too. ^^,

An Arashi Profile

I'm thinking of making an Arashi profile post once I have the time. And maybe another blog rehaul. But that's when I have the time already. ^^, I miss Arashi. I don't know what I've been up to that I barely have the time to do the things I used to do then. O yeah, I've been a bit busy with studying.

Watching Sho's Drama

I'm currently watching an old drama of Sho... "Tengoku ni Ichiban Chikai Otoko 2" with Tokio's Matsuoka Masahiro. Based on the first few episodes that I've watched, I think the drama is good. And looking at a rather young Sho is a bit refreshing ne. He looks cute rather than hunky.

Phew

I'm in love with the melody of "Boku Ga Boku no Subete" (僕が僕のすべて). I've been listening to it since I got it...

How's life.

Arashi in the Philippines

Just one day, that's all I'm wishing for. (And if it's not too much, how bout they stay here for a while? or visit again some other time?) I hope they do visit the Philippines. I'd be glad to see them in person.

Proof of Ohmiya love

or Arashi love.

If you're a big fan of Ohmiya, this is worth a few seconds of your time. It's like a dream come true for us. ^^, Nino's birthday message for Ohno through his Game Nikki. And please before reading the post, be reminded that "anata" doesn't just mean "you"... it could also mean "my dear" or "darling"... I personally think that he meant it that way... *sly grin spreading across face*

Still addicted...

I want to keep this blog alive...

I was thinking yet again yesterday... (I do my thinking while taking a bath... lolz..) That's the only time I get some time for myself!! heheh...

Well, I really love Arashi... And as far as I know, I'm not ready to give them up in the near future. I'd love to fangirl for them for as long as I can...

Fangirl mode update: Right now, I'm so in love with the whole HYD series plus the movie... And of course, no one will love the series without loving Arashi's very own MatsuJun as the notorious "Domyouji Tsukasa". I can say that maybe Jun has taken the number one spot in my heart. ^.^

New...

I don't know if this is new ne...

But I just found out about it maybe 30 mins ago...

For all Arashi fans --> http://www.arashi-forum.com

Ohno's "Take Me Faraway" Solo Perf

OMG! @0@

My fangirl side is screaming once again!!! I saw a very short clip of this in one of the AAA reports (courtesy of Arashi Clubbox) and I just fell lifeless in front of my laptop.

This man is hawt... really hawt!!!

Life is Wonderful

Can't think of a title.. hehe...

Anyway, this is a random post and is not really Arashi related... It's more me-related... ^^,

Okay when I was watching HYD, I realized that I want my own Domyouji... Not a rich guy or a bully... But a guy who would do something even it's not asked from him... Yeah... this post is a bit (or super) mushy...

I realized that I want a guy who would protect me whatever's at stake.

In Love with Hana Yori Dango

The title sort of confused me when I first saw the Taiwanese version. Hana Yori Dango ka? Hmmm... What does it exactly mean? That was about 4 years ago. Now, I've watched the Japanese version and I have finally undesrtood why it was given such title...

It's very significant indeed ne...

Hana means flower right? Then yori means over (more than the other one). And dango means dumplings. In the drama, Makino said that Domyouji liked "hana yori dango"... he likes dumplings over flowers. And the whole drama was about that, a charming prince at the prime of his life falling for a commoner, someone who doesn't really look that good -- in other words, a girl that can't be considered as a flower.

I'm glad to have found out about it... Even though I know that this information is already (or has always been) lurking around the whole of cyberspace, I'm still glad to have understood it on my own.

I have fallen in love with the drama...

And I also like the movie. Even though it was a bit too action packed and it lost the sweet aspect of the drama, I think it was still about Domyouji's love for Makino.

The one who wrote the manga is a genius. The one who chose the actors for the drama is a genius.

Hana Yori Dango was indeed Jun's jackpot prize.

Dou Shou ka na

いま、松本Junーさん がとてもすきです。
きのうとおととい Hana Yori Dango Season 2 を みました。
とても すごい ドラマ ですよ。

I'm so in love with the drama. I'm really glad that I finally decided to watch it. It would have been such a waste.

It's Arashi's Leader's Birthday!!!

お誕生日 おめでとう リーダ!!

I think Ohno's fame came so late ne. It's not that he wasn't loved before but I think all the other members were loved more than he was...

But lately, especially after his drama, everyone seems to have fallen in love with the guy. Which, I think is something good. I'm happy for him.

Anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ohno Satoshi!!

Best wishes for you!!!

OHNO が すきだよ!!!
*w*

Hana Yori Dango

I was not a fan of the drama before. I don't really like joining the majority ne.

But it's a pity that I didn't consider watching "Hana Yori Dango" before...

Or maybe, this is the perfect timing for me to watch it.

Of all the members, Matsujun was the last person I learned to like. I mean I found him cute in Gokusen but then I didn't frequently see him after that. When I got hooked into the fandom, there was like a repulsive force around Jun. Maybe because he's already got a lot of fans. Why bother? Why squeeze in while there's plenty of room in front of all the other members...

When I got to watch HYD 1, I became a follower but not a die hard fan. I even let several months pass by without watching the second season. Now I'm watching the second season and man, I have fallen in love with the drama.

I know I'm late but at least now I'm watching it.

I'll finish the drama before I watch the movie. I'm glad that I gave the drama a try. It's worth the time. ^^, More than worth my time.

I love you Jun!!!

Why do I think this is the perfect timing? It's because now, I seem to know more about Jun based on what the other members say about him. Though I don't know him personally and I'm not a hundred percent sure if his bandmates are saying the truth, I can sense the kindness in his appearance. I think Jun is a nice, gentle, and thoughtful guy.

O and I love him and Inoue Mao...^^,

Blog Make-over -- Update 1

So I do this in between studying. My mind needs to relax a bit ne.

Doing something related to Arashi is always refreshing.

Right now, I'm looking for a picture that I can use for my banner...

Ryusei no Kizuna Episode 5 -- Rant

Revelations

Taisuke was positive that the man who they saw at Togami was the man he saw leave their house that night when they found their parents dead. Shi, on the other hand, cries over a dish of hayashi rice that she thinks tastes exactly like her parent's cooking.

They have finally found their parents' assailant.

How is this going to change things? In what way will it change their plans for revenge?

--

At this rate, I'm really impressed by Nino's acting. I'm saying that without bias. When I watch dramas or whatever, I tend to look at the actors' eyes to judge their acting skills. And with Nino, man, he's really natural... I don't see over done acting... The more I look at him, the more I admire him. The more I know him, the more I think he is such a wonderful man... Aaaah...

Which Arashi Album cover do you like most?

http://community.livejournal.com/arashi_on/1091517.html
--> she has an awesome compilation of all of Arashi's album/single covers...

what really got my attention was the cover of "Truth and Kaze no Mukou he". I like the colors black and red so yeah, I love the cover. Plus I like subdued Arashi. That's why the "Beautiful Days" album cover comes next...

-- edit --
I just noticed, lately, Ohno looks better in pictures. He always has that awkward look in his face... But now, he seems to get along with the camera pretty well. Maybe that's what Maou has done for him. I think that devilish glare or look he has in his recent pictures suits him better.^^,

Just an addition... I hope no one gets offended by this post... They all looked rather feminine in the "Beautiful Days" album cover... Specially Jun who's got quite a tight belt around his waist revealing how small (and unjust!) his waist is... But Riida looked fantastic in that picture. ^^,

Busy Life

wooo... sigh of relief since it's finally another weekend. I can sleep for as long as I want... This week was really exhausting. I had to juggle studying and working so that I can keep a good balance between the two. Yeah... I juggle just those two things. I think since I'm going to study only for a few months, I can attend to my social life by the time I finish right?... たいへん です ね。

Ryusei no Kizuna Episode 4 -- Rant

Almost episode 5 already. As with the other dramas, this I think, is the start of the drama's climax. New twists and turns pop out everywhere.

In this episode, the three planned to trick yet another victim: Togami Yukinari (Kaname Jun). Little did they know that it was what would lead them to finding their parents' assailant.

Will this be the realization of their dream - to avenge their parents death?

I can't wait for the next episodes.

But it's quite sad ne. We're already almost halfway into the drama.

Hmmmm... I'm wishing for an Aiba drama too... please.

あたらしい Aibaの ドラマを みたいです。

Just the start and I'm already busy

The past week has been ”いすがしい” (busy) and I felt so tired every time I reached home. My day starts earlier than before and I study almost the whole day. Even though my body's not tired it like goes along with my mind and gets tired together with it. My arms hurt coz of the heavy books... My tummy hurts coz of the irregular eating pattern...

Anyways, I still appreciate the busy life I have now coz it makes me look forward to seeing Arashi in the weekends... And I try as much as I could to at least get a glimpse of them whenever I have time...

じゃ、また。
きょうわびょういんいきます。

O and one more important thing that my sensei told us. The tool to learning nihongo is "Memorizing"... Memorize vocabulary, memorize sentence patterns... Just memorize... I don't have a very good memory but I'll try. And I like what I'm learning so it's not really much of an effort on my part.

A bit off topic

I'm so happy! I'm going to take Nihongo training... It's going to be for 5 months and I definitely think I'll be busy these coming days. But I'll try to get updated with Arashi stuff.

So my life will be following a time table now. I'm working on how I'll manage my time. But since Arashi and Nihongo can be mixed, yeah work and pleasure, Arashi will definitely be within the time table...

I'm looking forward to that day that I'd be able to understand them more.

Jaaa... Nihngo benkyou hajimaru yo! (<-- not sure if it's right... it is after all my first day today...)

Blog Rehaul

I've been meaning to change this blog's layout... But I don't have the time... I do have some time but I need more just so I can study more about how I can change it. I know some stuff but I definitely need more knowledge, I guess... And every time I start, there's always a new show to pull me away from it. So this post is going to be a constant reminder of what I'm planning to do...

1) I'd like to make a banner that'd wow me... hehe... I've seen several banners that swept me off my feet... I think the best one I've seen http://nana-komatsu7.livejournal.com/ <-- hers.
I'm inspired to create one myself but I don't think I have the skills to do so... Anyway, Christmas vacation is fast approaching and I have a lot of free time then. Enough time for me to come up with a good idea and gather much information on how I can pull it off.
2) I'd want a nav bar that'd wow me... lolz...

-- I need to go... I'll do this later...

Utaban 11.08.06 - Rant

Thanks to ArashiCB

Utaban is always a fun show to watch. Nakai's eternal hatred for Ohno seems to be the show's bait (at least for me). I love it when all the other members hold on to Nakai just to restrain him and stop him from shredding our dear Ohno to pieces. And the other host is always pushing Ohno to say things that he knows would tick Nakai off. It's funny that way ne.

The funniest part was when I think they were thinking of the title of Nakai's movie. Real title is "Watashi wa Kani ni Naritai" which means "I want to be Selfish"... So he showed the pamphlet to the guys and let them say the title. The guys were like "are..."... "Watashi.... wa...." and all of them faked thinking hard. Starting from Sho-kun, all they were able to say was the "Watashi wa" part... Then I saw the other host whispering to Ohno. I knew then that Nakai would ask Ohno next. He did. Ohno's answer was:

"Watashi wa... asari wo horitai" which I think means "I want to dig for asari(clams)"... Pffffft... It got me laughing...

I never get tired of Nakai's reaction every time Ohno says something. He'd stand up and charge at Ohno who is always beside the other host, which I think is great for Ohno. Otherwise, he'd already be torn into pieces by now. hehe.

2 New Singles

I have this weird thing about songs.
I used to prefer a specific genre of song meaning I'm only inclined to like a certain type of sound. Like I was so into Chris Daughtry, Lifehouse... Loved the sound of alternative, of soft rock...

But when I learned about Arashi, my taste for music took a 180-degree turn. I don't know which of these two holds true for me:
- I fall in love with a song because it's Arashi's
- or I learn to love Arashi more because they have such great songs.

Their 2 new singles "Beautiful Days" and the one they used for their AU CM have very catchy melodies. I don't like happy tunes! Really, I used to jump to the next song whenever I heard songs that sounded happy or would make you want to move with the groove. BD is actually a bit mellow but it's still quite far from alternative.

Such a contrast ne? I'm actually addicted to the things I used to hate.

How Nino got into magic tricks

I'm currently watching a "Hanamaru Cafe" episode where Nino guested to plug RnK. It's only now that I know how he got into his new hobby -- magic.

He told HC these:
- There was a time he'd go home and realize how busy the other members were while flipping the channels. Ohno had Maou, Jun had Hanadan, Sho did the Beijing olympics (didn't hear Aiba's name...) So one time, he saw some instructional DVDs for magic. And with a lot of free time at hand, he watched the DVDs day in and day out. Being the fast learner that he is, he's already doing great at his tricks by this time.^^,

I admire guys who do stuff (and learn stuff) with passion. I don't care what kinds of things they're into... Just as long as they do it with passion.

Ninoは やっぱ すごい です よ ね。

Aiba has a mole on the left side of his torso

and so do I... lol...

I know, I know it doesn't mean anything.... That doesn't make me a special fangirl for having a mole (actually 2 moles) in the exact same spot where Aiba has his mole...

I just found it funny... hehe...

And it always reminds me of this VSA episode where in one of their games, he showed his mole... after that, he says "this is embarrassing!"... which reminds me of another time when he said that word while covering his face...

yeah. random. ^^,

Daigo related post

Yesterday I spent almost the whole day trying to translate Daigo's song "I Wish" that he made specially for Penpen. So I was staring at the monitor, at cute Penpen, and at cute Daigo while doing my best to match the kanji and the sound...

I liked this part the best:
Chiisana sono tsubasa
Those small wings
Tsuburana sono hitomi
Those round eyes
Itsumademo mamoruto kimettakara
I'll protect you for as long as I can...

Or if that's how it goes. ^^, Not perfect yet...

Ryusei No Kizuna Episode 3: Rant

Episode 3 was a moving episode. It was basically a flashback of what happened 11 years ago.

The part I liked most was the flashback where the 3 were about to leave and go to the orphanage. It was presented creatively. And it moved me. I liked the concept they had, the 3 children were packing their things. Little Shi was crying coz Koichi told them to take just the important things. Shi clung to her dolls and cried while saying that all of them were important to her. When chibi Koichi walked over to where she was, chibi Shi became Erika and chibi Koichi became Nino. The concept was brilliant, I think. I wouldn't have expected that. But at that moment, I didn't really get why they had to do that.

Then there was this part where they went to their parents' room and Koichi instructed them to take an important item. Shi took their mother's make up, Taisuke their father's watch, and Koichi the notebook where their most treasured recipes were written.

Like last week, the episode was still mainly about their parents' death and of course the hayashi rice.

What is hayashi rice you say? Nothing special. It's simply beef stew, only it was given a Japanese name.

I love this episode!

The first time I saw Daigo was in another, an earlier, episode of TSD. I know he looks good but of course, Aiba's better looking than him (in my eyes but in reality yeah he does look waaaaaaay better than our Aiba... but again, I'm a fan...).

Who is Daigo anyway?
Daigo is the lead singer of a 3-member band named BREAKERZ that made its way into the Japanese entertainment scene in 2007.

Anyhoo, in this episode, Aiba and the others went to a water-side animal zoo (I don't know where). When they arrived, Daigo was already there. Remembering the episode where I saw Daigo, he was tasked to care for a little penguin named PENPEN . So in this episode, Aiba and Daigo (actually the other guy host also, gomennasai! I'm so bad with names!!) fed the penguins, beavers, and the sealion.
soooo... I'm like that ne? Every time I find something or someone interesting, I search the whole of cyberspace (errr... make that LiveJournal) and here's a number of posts about Diago's blog entries abut Pen-pen... He's so sweet! How could this Daigo who's so in love with cute chubby little Pen-pen be the same Daigo rockstar?
- Post 1
- Post 2
- Post 3

At the end, Daigo sang (with his o so wonderful husky voice. I love it.) to PENPEN... I didn't understand everything but it's saying like "I'll take care of you, forever..." which was a little moving for me especially because together with the song was a VTR of PENPEN as a little penguin with Daigo.

Yappari, even rockstars become soft when they're around cute fluffy animals.

Why I write so much in this blog

I've been trying to keep a blog that would run for months. Something that I can stick to and with for maybe longer than 1 month. I've had so many blogs already before and I ended up forgetting my password, even my username because I ran out of things to write.

This is the first time I've gotten this far.

So why do I write so much about these guys? Is anybody even benefiting from this?

I realized that no one's gonna benefit from this more than I do.

I intend to be a fangirl for as long as I'd want and I can. And being the person that I am, I tend to stray away from my hobbies. I get tired of things fast because I gain interest easily. So one minute I like this, the other minute you'll see me drooling over a new thing or hobby. That's who I am. But those hobbies usually just get buried in my thoughts, they never disappear. So I guess this blog just makes Arashi as a hobby resurface in my mind.

I went through all the entries I have here and yappari, I'll find this blog useful someday once my fanaticism starts dwindling. It's like a reinforcement. It's a constant reminder of how I started as a fangirl, what I love most about Arashi, the things that have happened...

I love all the memories here. ^^,

リダはほんとうにばかでしょう?
Ohno is really funny most of the time. I liked the hypnotism part of the episode. I was covering my face while watching it coz I was the one who felt embarrassed by Ohno's actions. Aiba's too. They were funny riding along with the guy. (If they were)

I found MatsuJun's part funny too.
Sensei: I'm going to press your thumb. And once I do, you're not going to say anything other than "I like it". (Looks at other Arashi members) Ask him whatever.
Nino: Ask him something he doesn't like. Ask him if it's okay for him to work for free. (This got me laughing.
Sensei: Do you like to work for free?
JUN: KIRAI JANAI. (I don't hate it) (haha. Good one Jun! Still fighting it huh?)

And Nino's part was also interesting because he wasn't affected by any of Sensei's actions. He wasn't hypnotized at all. lol.

I'm curious about the Italian Canon. I wonder what that is. I just found Aiba and Riida funny doing it.

Ryusei no Kizuna: Ratings

Sources:
saladesu @ LJ
Audience Rating: Here

The ratings were high, as expected. Good start. All they have to do is keep it at that.

Next to Ryusei no Kizuna (RnK) is Kaze no Garden (KnG). (Comparing)

Rnk is shown every Friday - 10:00 PM (JST) @ TBS
KnG is shown every Thursday - 10:00 PM (JST) @ FujiTV

as we all know:
Rnk is starred by:
- Ninomiya Kazunari (Arashi)
- Nishikido Ryo (NEWS, Kanjani8)
- Erika Toda
KnG is starred by
- Nakai Kiichi

Rnk started Oct 17, 2008 and is now on its 3rd episode
KnG started Oct 9, 2008 and is now on its 5th (I think) episode

I think they belong to two completely different genres and they cater to different generations. RnK being most appealing to youngsters (ehermm... like us?) and the other one to a more matured audience.

Anyhoo, I'm still happy to know that RnK's doing great.

Ganbare minasan!! ^^,

Sidetracked no more

My head hurts. So I thought I'd be on hiatus. But here I am, writing and thinking more about Arashi.

I just realized that I may not be able to find a band greater than Arashi.

I don't know if other people experienced these things. But during the first few months of my addiction, I was so hungry for information, for stuff related to them. I traded sleep for youtube vids of these guys. I spent money to buy a laptop and a new hard disk just to feed my addiction anywhere, anytime. Seriously, I didn't want to part with my computer. The feeling was "can't get enough of them."

But it seems I grew tired or maybe I mellowed as a fan girl. Lately, I've been able to do other stuff. Meaning it's not Arashi time all the time for me anymore. Although I still spend hours joyfully wandering the cyberspace for their stuff, at least I'm not trading it for sleep anymore. And I've given other JE bands a try. Which made me realize that Arashi's still number one.

I won't be sidetracked anymore. Arashi will always be number 1 for me.

Arashi's Kizuna

Err... hehe... Can't think of a better title.

Anyhoo... I love their bond. Really. I think the reason why I got hooked to them is because of their relationship with each other. I mean they are like 5 soulmates who were destined to meet each other even if Johnny wasn't around.

Here's an Oricon post containing the top 10 bands with strongest bonds: Clicker

Well, for number 1, I think yeah. Kinki Kids should have snagged that spot. If not, I'd feel sorry for them. KK only has two members. And they've been around for ages! I think it'd be true for everybody: It's impossible not to develop a deep platonic relationship with someone you're stuck with for more than 10 years. And you both understand each other because you're going through the same things right? So this fact isn't a surprise. I'd be surprised if I learned that they didn't hang out at all.

Arashi... It's not that the poll was decided on by geniuses whose comments have sceintific proof (whatever).... But I'm so happy that people see the group as such, a bonded, a closely knit group. Actually the reason why I love watching their shows is because I love seeing them together.

I have watched a number of Cartoon KAT-TUN episodes already and I must say that Arashi really has a tighter bond.

-- Edit --
In the latest Utaban episode (the one with "Watashi wa Asari wo Horitai") they were talking about Arashi's kizuna or Arashi's bond. Yappari, the group has been together for almost 10 years now. And it's quite an amazing fact ne? Anyhoo, how tight is Arashi's bond?

When they were starting, they all used one shaver. Yeah, they had a conjugal shaver. (Quite sweet ne?) But that's just because they had no money. lolz.

But since now, they're practically earning tons of money, tey can buy their own shavers. Demo, there are two members who still use and share the same shaver...

I would think that one would be Nino, since, among all of them, he's the stingiest. But I laughed when I learned that it was Aiba and Riida. Haha. Riida-Aiba pairing never entered my mind!! haha. I'm a fan of every pairing...
Nino-Jun
Jun-Ohno
Sho-Nino
Aiba-Nino
Aiba-Jun
Sho-Aiba
I've thought of almost every possible pairing already (as friends huh)... And Aiba-Riida never entered my mind... But it seems that they share a special relationship ne. They both can't let go of the shaver...

But it's a good thing... If they treasure things such as old shavers that much, I bet they treasue each other (and I hope fans too) more than that.

I love seeing them love each other.

O and I also chanced upon a Hanamaru Cafe interview of Ohno during the Maou promo days and he tagged Jun as the "heart man". According to him, Jun is "suteki"... I'd translate that as Jun being a nice guy. Coz he said that Jun was the only one who said good luck for his drama.

Beautiful Days PV Short Version

Waaaaaah...

I just caught a glimpse of the PV... it makes me love Arashi more.

It's not silly, it's a bit subdued but it's for someone with a child's heart like me. lolz.

Loved it!! ^^,

Here's their wonderful gift to us, it is indeed a beautiful day today. (After listening to them and to their wonderful song.)

credits to my12 CB

How do I like their new PV?
As I've said, the PV is mellow and subdued. There wasn't a lot of movement, which is perfect for the song... I mean the beat isn't too slow for them not to think of a choreography. It's still a bit danceable.
It was just a bit too dark. I don't know if the song has something to do with those lights (gomen but I can't understand Nihongo perfectly) but I would have imagined a PV that's a bit bright and happy since the song's title is "Beautiful Days" right?
I'm going to try to understand the song more and maybe after that, I'll be able to explain to myself why the PV's quite dark and sad.

-- Edit --
I like the PV now more than I did the first time I saw it. Representing the stars with the lights was a creative thought. I liked it.
And I can't let this one pass... I found Aiba's overpants weird at first... But I've grown to like it. He's like a kid trapped in a man's body.

Tokyo Friends Park 2 - RnK Special

I just watched part two of the TFP2 episode where they had the major cast of RnK.

Actually the reason why I wanted to write about this is because I just noticed a little something about our dear Ninomiya Kazunari.

I don't know Nino personally so I don't really know if my opinions about him are true. Like what? I think Nino's a very competitive person. And he's the type of person who hates losing. Plus he likes to lead.

In the RnK special of TFP2, I saw a different side of Nino. He apologizes every time he misses and cheers for his team mates.

Quite different from the Nino I see when he's with Arashi. He usually doesn't say sorry and is a bit arrogant every time he does good in something. (Don't get me wrong. But the arrogance I'm referring to is something that isn't irritating. In fact, I love his cocky attitude when he wins in something.)

As I've said, I don't know him personally so I don't know if my perception of him is true. That's just how I see him. Anyway, I love Nino no matter what, who, how he is. ^^,

Ryusei No Kizuna Rant for Episode 2

I am loving this drama. I love the funny Nino. Really. I think there's no better Koichi than Nino.

For the second episode, I liked the
"Hayashi Rice" scene just coz I love seeing Nino cook. ^^, We've seen a lot of this in MMA but I can't get enough of this. I look up to guys who can cook.

and

Takayama-san's scenes. He's funny. Especially the gym and hospital part. ^^,

here's where you can find links to journals/sites that offer downloads. Compilation

A link to a fangirl's story.

It somehow creeps me out to read something like this.
Click link to read,
Take note, it's creepy because I was like reading my story up to half the post.

I think I'm an addict, a sucker for Arashi, KAT-TUN, and some toher JE boys. I am still in that blackhole unlike her, who's already recovering from the addiction.

Here's my own story.(it's a long one)
There was this korean drama that was shown here. If you're familiar with "Coffee Prince" starring Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye, that's the very main reason why I got into my addiction. Pretty farfetched huh? Not really.
The reason why I'm blaiming it is because it lead me to mysoju.com where, as everyone knows, a ton of Asian dramas and movies are compiled. I watched a few more Korean dramas before I plunged into the jdorama addiction.
Since I was so fond of CP and the plot, I looked for a jdorama that somehow ressembled the story. Bam! Hana Kimi. A girl pretending to be a guy just to qualify as a student at an all boys school. (CP: A girl pretending to be a guy just to keep her job.)
So when I realized that Jdoramas were way better because they were shorter and funnier, and Ikuta Toma (first Johnny's talent crush) was so so so cute, I never let go of the addiction. I spent all my free time watching Japanese dramas.
Until I stumbled upon YTM. This is where I can say my Ninomiya Kazunari addiciton started. (Although I watched Gokusen first, I didn't find Jun that gorgeous for me to look him up in the net and research on him.) After watching YTM, I searched for more dramas starred by Nino and I think that's when I learned that he was a member of Arashi.
I only knew Jun, Nino, and Sho (Sho because of YTM). I had no idea who Ohno and Aiba were. I even thought their names looked so much alike that I found it okay to call Ohno Aiba and vice versa. I didn'nt care. All I cared about was Nino. Expecially after watching his live performance of "Niji". I was blown away. I listened to the song over and over and I used it as my alarm on my cell phone.
Then I got to know them a bit more until I got familiarized with their pairings. The very first thing that I thought about the pairings was "okashii deshou?!". But Ohmiya SK pulled me in, deeper into the fandom until I almost didn't sleep anymore just to see more of them.
During the peak of my fangirlism, I was deprived of sleep and my hard drive was already giving up on me. My weekends were spent at home, most of my time I was in front of the computer. I thought of nothing and noone but the five.

The good thing is that I didn't spend a lot for them. Errr... I bought a laptop because of them but I can still use it in case I get tired of them.

What's my state now? After almost 5 months of my addiction, I can say that , I have mellowed down. I had caught up a bit and I'm venturing out to other JE guys.

All I can say is that I don't see anything wrong in fangirling over someone. It's not a crime. It's just that we should know the bounds of being one. As for me, I'm trying to do the things that I can afford. I wouldn't spend more time, money, and effort than what I can give.

Seeing these guys makes me happy. They're like my daily doze of endorphin. If I didin't know them, I would have gone insane due to stress from work. Yes, I do think about them a lot, but I still know what's real and what's not. I know where to put them.

Let me do this please...

Coz I only do this maybe once a month (or even less frequent than that)

あいしてるよ 二宮和也!!!

Nino!!! You're simply the best!!!

There. I've done my virtual flailing once again.

Hiatus -- I never thought I'm gonna use this word

I'm going to be busy for the rest of the year and the first quarter of next year. But I would definitely try my best to get updated and at least stick to watching RnK for the whole duration that I'm going to be a bit busy. Hopefully, I'd be able to catch up during weekends and the Christmas vacation.

The reason for the break: Well it's not actually a complete break. I'll be a little less active with fangirl stuff. The reason? I'm going to study again. Yipeee!! But it'll only be for a few months. And when I get back, I'll definitely be more active, even more active than I am now. By that time, I may be capable of offering more than what I can offer now (do I have something to offer right now? Errrr... No. I don't lol.)

I think I'm going to miss Arashi for the time being. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them when I get a little free from work and my studies.

Sooooooo excited!! ^^,

Ryhusei No Kizuna (Rant #2) Episode 1 Review

How do I like my dramas? I love dramas with a dash of sadness and a pinch of comedy. I don’t usually finish serious dramas unless they are that good or one of the stars is Arashi (or someone I really like). It has to be funny for me to watch it from beginning to end.

RnK definitely fits the description. I love the blend of drama and comedy in it. I’m looking forward to the next episodes and I hope it only gets better.

Review without bias: (Based on watching episode 1)

The plot is a bit ordinary. It’s not as intense and as well crafted as Ohno’s “Maou”. Compared to the dramas I loved (Seigi no Mikata and Absolute Boyfriend) it is a bit dull. I don’t know. I think it lacks color. Maybe because it’s not intended to be colorful. I don’t know how to describe it but sometimes, I look for color in a drama. Literally, I look for brightly colored stuff and clothes simply because they make the drama more alive. But since the drama is a bit serious “dull” fits it better.

I liked the place where they shot episode 1. (I’m not sure if they’re going to shoot it there for the rest of the drama). The place is so 2008. Sometimes I get bored watching dramas shot in places that look like they were built ages ago.

I also liked the fact that they lived in such a decent place. I would have hated it if Nino wore tattered clothes and they were desperate for cash. They’re already pitiful so making them live in shanties and afford almost nothing is annoying. (I hate those kinds of dramas but YTM is an exception because it was funny like that.).

Somehow, the drama is closer to reality.

Review with bias:

I loved Nino! He was definitely funny. I really really really love him that way. A geeky Nino is funny after all! I can’t wait for more!!! For those who love the three, this, of course, is a must watch!! And you’ll definitely agree with me that Nino’s role fit him perfectly. And I would love to see him every week that way. Lolz.

The parts I liked:

Ryo and Erika were talking about their brother Nino:

Erika: He’s 26 right? But he still doesn’t have a girlfriend.

Ryo: Him having a girlfriend is impossible. He has no friends.

The part where Erika and Ryo said “Kowai” maybe 3 times because Nino was simply scary. (as in psycho scary)

The manga part. Lol. That was definitely funny.

Ryusei No Kizuna (Rant)

Seeing Nino in another drama makes me feel sentimental. (lolz)

The reason why I got addicted to Arashi is because of his drama "Yamada Taro Monogatari". I can't actually remember what happened then but I just got addicted to him. Then I got addicted to Arashi. (Coz you can't love just one of them. Once you learn to love one, you'll definitely fall for the pack. They're so different that whatever one does not have, you'll definitely find in the others.)

I already have episode one. And I don't know what to expect. But of course, I'm sure it's a good drama.

Which reminds me... I haven't finished Maou yet. I noticed that I have that attitude towards dramas that could possibly have sad endings. I put them off. I really can't bear to watch them.

Stress and fangirling...

Just like sisig and sinigang.

I never thought of stress as a good thing. But when you're working and you don't get stressed out, it's like something's missing.

I miss being stressed. I miss having cold feet. I miss feeling my heart thump against my chest.

Today... Major stress!!

But it makes fangirling even better. Stress makes me look forward to things such as these. Arashi is my stress reliever. Without stress, I won't have to relieve myself of anything right?

I fall in love with songs

There are songs that make me melt inside. (Yep, mushy. lol.). So far here are those that made me stop whatever I'm doing just to listen and make me smile all of a sudden. These are my ear candies:

Someday for Somebody by Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN)
(Lyrics | Listen@imeem | Watch@Youtube | Download)
Niji by Ninomiya Kazunari (Arashi)
(Lyrics | Listen@imeem | Watch@Youtube | Download)

This list is going to be a little short since there are only a few songs that have the said effect on me.

Sidetracked

I don't know how it happened but I just found myself liking another new band. My gosh. Johnny's really a genius.

What I've feared might have happened already...

KAT-TUN!! Why o why!! Kamenashi Kazuya's really so cute when he's laughing. Koki Tanaka's so so so so (mecha kawaii) cute when he's smiling. Taguchi is so hilarious!! Jin's awkwardness, shyness towards girls, his attitude of frequently cutting Maru and Taguchi off, his Do-S nature is so funny! And Ueda's meek and timid attitude is adorable. I adore them right now.

But of course, Arashi's still special. With KAT-TUN, there's no sense of ownership... I don't feel like owning them. With Arashi, every chance I get to own them, I'll definitely grab it. lol.

Kudos to all fansubbers

I'm very very very thankful to all fansubbers out there for doing the bloody job of putting words that I totally understand to shows that are not in English or in my native language.

I wish you guys don't get tired of doing this. Coz I'm depending so much on you 。lol.

Yes, non-Arashi post, but it's a bit related to them since it's their shows that I want to be subbed.

So to all fansubbers, みなさん、がんばて!!
ほんと に ありがと ございます!!

Happy 9th!!

I'm so so so late with this greeting but I still want to do it anyway. lol

おめでと ございます 嵐ーちゃん!!!

Go for an explosive tenth!! ^_^ Anyways, I'll be tugging along til Arashi's gonna reach that mark... or even farther than that...

Haiz... I never thought fangirling would be so fun...

Maybe as much as Arashi's thankful to their fans, I can't stress this enough... I'm doubly... no... I'm a million times more thankful to them for making themselves known to me. lols. They haven't just been a source of inspiration but they've also been bridges to some of (what I consider) as my treasured relationships with people whom I've met because of them.

I'm truly happy doing stuff for Arashi with the people who share the same interest. I love the fandom as much as I love Arashi.

Minasan, ganbate!!
みなさん、がんばて!!!

Honey and Clover The Movie

Downloads over at Arashianfiles

I can't not write about this.

From the beginning to the end, the movie gave me the feeling of inner peace. I don't know why but I had this good feeling while watching. Everything was so easy on the eyes. It started off with Sho looking at the sakura tree in bloom.

(Might contain some bias, but I'll try to keep it down to a low level.)

I have watched "Honey and Clover" series. And I must say that the movie was a more subdued version of the story.

Sho vs. Toma
Who was a better Takemoto? I can't really compare the two. They both gave different interpretations of the character. Toma was an angsty Takamoto while Sho was more mellow. I think Toma made his character stand out, he made himself known as the lead star while Sho could have easily melted in the background -- a support. However, imo, Sho's interpretation of the character was closer to what I'd imagine Takemoto to be. His acting was (and is always) more realistic, more natural.

Aoi Yu vs Narumi Riko
I've always been a fan of Aoi's angelic face and I never did like Narumi Riko's acting. (So some bias expected ahead). Appearance wise, I think Hagu was best represented by Aoi. Riko also looked good as Hagu. But the timidness and the weakness of Hagu was something that suited Aoi pretty well. Another difference is that Riko's face is a bit strong while Aoi's is soft, more feminine, more angelic. I think their appearance had a lot to do with who fits the role better. Acting wise, I think Aoi was still better. But Riko didn't suck either. They're both good. It's just that I liked Aoi's interpretation of the role more.

I've read some comparisons between the movie and the live series. And there were a lot of people favoring the drama series.

But for me, I liked the movie better. Not just because Sho was in it or Aoi was in it. I liked everything about the movie: the sense of peace it gave me, the way the actors interpreted the roles in a more subdued manner which suited the theme very well, the soundtrack was great (love James Wendt and Spitz), and everything fit into a great 2-hour film.

Is it watchable/re-watchable? Definitely. If I get the chance, I'm gonna watch it again.

Hey Hey Hey 18.08.08

Over here by [info]palmandgo
('Thank you' goes a long way ^_^)

The episode was amazing. It featured two people who Arashi thought were awesome. (I thought so too.)

First person they introduced was the guy who could play songs and jingles without any musical scores. He just has to listen to the song to be able to play it. That's what I call talent... Coz playing the piano can be learned.. I liked Super Mario and Windows XP...

The second one was a person who made a flute out of fish. (It sure did catch Ohno's attention. Anything "fishy" catches Ohno's attention ne)

They were amazing.

SPOILER
Favorite part:
When they talked about Ohno's dream.
Story goes like this. He received a call from Johnny. When he went to Johnny's office, he saw that the other 4 were there. So he was like "are?!" and then they all were encouraging him to go to college. (okashii na)...
Turns out that Riida lacked confidence in himself...

Hmmmm... I was thinking... Yeah... maybe going to college is something that's been going on in his mind. Yes, he's talented in a lot of things. But could it be that college is that one thing that's missing? So he can sing, draw, dance, act... But is it enough for him? Will finishing college be able to give him that confidence that he doesn't have? And doing Naruse Ryou might have affected him... He just played a lawyer... Maybe, a part of him wanted to be just like his character in Maou...

Maou Finale -- Rant

Dl's over at LJ...

It's quite sad to see Ohno's drama end... I'm still stuck at episode 5.
Whew.
Seeing Ryoko's arms around Ohno's waist made me turn green. Hurmmmm... Next Ohno drama should be a little light.. Like Nino's YamaTaro... No love teams please... Unless it's Nino...

This just popped in my mind... I remembered that scene where Ohno was handing flyers (yamataro) and that scene where Nino pinned Ohno on the wall (maou)... They're like Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider. lol.

Well... I wasn't able to dl a copy of episode 5 that I can play on my dvd player.. but I have the subbed ep 6-8 fermenting in my pc... I don't want to watch them without watching ep 5... and since I'm that late... as in sooooo late that I could just dl the rest so that I could rewatch ep 1-4 and finish it in one sitting...

Planning to watch the Korean version of this... Just so I can compare the two...

Arashi turns 9 and still tops the charts

O man... I don't know how it is in Japan... I don't have any idea actually... But staying 9 years in the business is quite a difficult feat, let alone top the charts on their 9th year. That's truly amazing ne.

I don't know what Johnny does but he sure is a genius. Making us girls shell out cash (well, I haven't yet...) and die of poverty (but I think it'd be a happy death) for his guys. That guy's really smart eh. He definitely knows the trade. Okay, enough of Johhny.

On to my favorite bunch... So I've been a little sidetracked, gazing on a few kame, kawai fumito, uchi (i don't know his complete name), chinen yuuri stuff... Laughed at a cartoon Kat-tun episode because of Kame (who I think is also cute despite of my not liking him before due to his.. errr.. rather feminine attributes -- which I now find attractive)

TO MY FAVE BUNCH
I'm really amazed at how they kept their status (despite of a few bumps and nasties).
Here's a link to Oricon - http://www.oricon.co.jp/ (i think the chart is done daily so here' their current status)
Right now, Arashi's Truth/風 の 向こうへ is at number three, not bad but dropped from number one since last September 1.
Their other single "One Love" has also made its way to the top 20.
Outranked by Mr. Children, but I don't mind because I like the band as well.

It's just really amazing ne... That even though I was so late into the fandom, they're still hot and so up there.

I wish nothing else but more success and health for these guys. I hope that they'll continue infecting us with their happiness for a good 10 years more? lol... Err... maybe...

Nino's Upcoming Dorama

Yes, it was like yesterday when we flailed for Ohno's drama. Now it's Nino's turn.

Title: 流星 の 絆 (Ryuusei no Kizuna)
English Title: Meteor Ties

Another drama worth watching. If it's a Kazunari drama, no doubt... It's gonna be good.

Which reminds me... Maybe I oughtta brace myself (I hope Nino and the rest of Arashi too...) for yet another hard blow from their detractors (and those who'd just want to join in on the popularity). I don't know how things would turn out... It's a NEWS and Arashi combi right now. And I must say that both Ryo and Nino have quite a large fanbase.

Nino's one of the greatest actors I've seen (that's without bias...). Even before I got into Arashi, I already had that opinion. And watching more of his dramas and movies just proved that I'm right.

Ryo is also a good actor. I've seen his drama "1 Liter of Tears"...

And they are both members of prominent Japanese boybands, both drool worthy, both loved by crazy fangirls.

I don't know. I would want to bet my life for a good rating on this drama but it would depend on who they're going against.

But it won't matter ne? I would definitely watch this...

Myu no Anyo, Papa ni Ageru

This is yet another role well played and yet another hair raising performance from Arashi's Matsumoto Jun.

To be completely honest, I had a hard time imagining Jun as a father. It's like a very remote possibility for the guy right now. But when I watched the drama, Jun as a father might actually work. lol. I mean he looked good with those long-sleeved shirts and balck pants -- very fatherly. In contrast to his daily styish clothes.

There's really nothing this guy can't play.

Hands down to his acting. He's really really good.

On to the story.
I think since the drama was aimed to have this effect, I'd share some of the things I learned.
The story was heartbreaking at first but inspiring towards the end. It was saying "Nothing is impossible especially if you put your heart into it." and "If there's a will, there's a way."
I also realized that we keep on complaining about life, about the tivial things that piss us off. But things could be a lot worse. So instead of complaining, we should just be grateful and count our blessings and work on the things that aren't readily provided for us.

Oh and before I even forget, this song was the one Karina sang in the karaoke, one of my favorite songs performed by Onitsuka Chihiro. どうぞ!!!

24 Hour TV - What is it?

I don't actually have an idea about this, whatever it is. All I know is that Arashi's going to host this year's 24 Hour TV, which they also hosted 4 years ago.

24-Hour TV is an annual charity based program held first in 1978 by Nippon TV to commemorate their 25th year in the business. The aim of the charity program is to show the rest of Japan, if not the world, about the present condition and challenges faced by many regarding social welfare, the environment, and natural disasters. -- Here for the full article.

I have read that it is a day-long telethon where the featured artists are to stay awake for the whole 24 hours of the show and gather as much pledges as they can, where the funds will come from aside from the items that are up for sale like t-shirts, pens, et cetera.

There are also heart-warming segments about each host's task, usually featuring some of those who aren't as opportunate as us.

The show also includes a real life drama, like MatsuJun's "Myu no Anyo, Papa ni Ageru" for this year, which is about a father having a disease that took his ability to walk.

Then the one which made Aiba dearer to my heart, the letter-writing segment where one of the hosts writes a letter addressed to his groupmate/s (or at least that's what I know)
Four years ago, Aiba made this letter for the rest of Arashi about how much he appreciates everything that they've done for him and that despite of being sickly he'll try to do his best because he sees that everyone is giving it their all.

That's about it. That's everything I know about the program.

Nino's 24-hour letter translation

Click me

My take:
This letter made me wanna cry... Actually I was already in tears while reading it.

To note, the letter was so simple. Very different from Aiba's letter from 4 years ago. True, could be a sign of growth. But it could also be that Nino really has some difficulties laying down all his emotions. Even though it sounded like that, even though Nino put it out like that, I still felt the truth in every word he said.

I guess the best thing about Arashi is that throughout their 9 years, there's just so much love that it's overflowing and affecting us, fangirls. Maybe that's their charm.

This is also the first time I heard and read about staff and fangirls regarded as the 6th member of the group. Hey, those are feel good words for us, but I'm gonna take it to heart. Yeah!! I'm the 6th member of Arashi ne?!!

Being in this fandom isn't a piece of cake too. It's just like any other form of addiction. Coz we really don't have more than 24 hours to spend right? And with the 24 hours we have, it's almost not enough for us, to work, sleep, eat, go out and parteeh!!... Despite of that, we find time to support them in every way we can think of. I've seen several ways of how we do that, and man, it amazes me... Of course, fangirling isn't also easy on the pocket...

So it's kudos to both Arashi and their 6th member, the STAFF and FANS!!! がんばて ね!!!

Arashifilled, Arashified Dream # 3

Hmmm... might be because of my daily dose of Arashi backstage clips that I dreamed about something like this. haaaa... This is one of the best drams I've had so far.

WHO: Sakurai Sho (yeah baby!! ^_^)
WHERE: I dunno where... But we were inside a bus... guess it's because of watching various backstage clips of these guys.
WHAT: Sweetness!! ^_^ It's just all good I think. We were holding hands. haaaa... Sho!!! 最高だよ !!!

Ohno and Junichi have the same age

I can't believe Junichi Okada of V6 and Satoshi Ohno have the same age... @.@

Ohno does seem young after all...

Happy Birthday Mats'Jun

Know what makes me wanna cry more than Jun's upcoming drama SP on his birthday? The song that they did for him on his 20th birthday.

The moment I watched it, I was near tears... But I ended up crying because there was this part with the video I watched that said it was the last time they made a song for the celebrant because as the youngest, of course, he's the last one to turn 20.

I just love these guys...

I love the friendship more than anything else...

Mats'Jun!!!! Happy birthday!! All the best wishes for you...

Health... great health for this year...
Dramas... quite a selfish wish on my part...
Albums... for all of you guys!!!
Happiness...
Blessings...
Success...
Love... love of friends, family... and fangirls!!!

Mats'Jun, お誕生日おめでとう!!!
I lerv you!!!

Arashifilled, Arashified Dreams #2

The first one was with Mats'Jun...

This one's about Sho...

Nothing special, just the fact that one of them just graced my dreams (again...)

Where: In front of a stall... (stall of pirated DVD stuff...yeah!! \m/)
What: Sho was right there in front of me, smiling and asking me whether the stalls sell their stuff too or not... Then I start spitting out nihongo words that I have heard... Yes, random... I can't remember the words I used, but I'm guessing that if I actually said them to Sho, he'd definitely just stare at me and say "Huh?! In english please."

24 Hour TV

If I'm not mistaken, today's the much awaited day for Arashi's hosting 24 hour tv again.

Lounged at youtube last night and saw the countdown with clips of what each one did for the show. Each of them, of course, have their own spotlight... But who stood out among the rest? I think it's Aiba. Man, this guy is so sweet. Sometimes, I just wonder what's going on in Aiba's mind. He's the gentle baka of Arashi. There are times I can't help but laugh at his stupidity (bakaness, I think, is more pleasing to the ears) and there are times I just want to cry and melt because of his sweetness. Then there's Jun's drama with Karina... Which reminds me...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUN-KUN!!!!!!!

What can I say? This guy is an exceptionally adroit actor.

Onitsuka Chihiro

A non-Arashi rambling...

I love her songs especially "Gekkou" (which was used as soundtrack of Trick 1) and "Arrow of Pain"...

There's something different with the vocal quality of Japanese singers, especially female singers. I think it's the deep vibrato at the end of each phrase. I'm not a big fan of this style of singing.

When I heard Onitsuka's voice, my gosh, I was like floating on top of a cloud enjoying the cool breeze caressing my face. She has her own style, a style that I really like.

Wrote about this just so I'll know when I started liking her.

My own Arashi wish list

Some of the things I'd want Arashi to do... I hope this somehow gets blown by the wind and reaches whoever decides for the guys... nyaha...

1 - Nino does Chihiro Onitsuka ( I like Chihiro's music... and every time I'm listening to her songs, I secretly wish Nino would sing them and play them in his piano.)

2 - Hula dance show down - I have seen Aiba do the hula with grass skirt... I would love to see the whole bunch do it... I don't know if they've done it already though.

3 - An english song remake for each of them on their next concert -- Like Ohno's "Open Arms", which, I think he didn't deliver properly but still made me close my eyes and savor the 4-min (or less? not sure) perf, and Sho's "Can't Take my Eyes Off of You"... Hmmm... Lemme see... How bout
Nino's version of John Mayer's "Your body is a wonderland" with guitar accompaniment,
Jun's version of Maroon 5's "This Love", and
Aiba's version of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours",
Ohno's version of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful", and finally
Sho's version of Bone Thugs and Harmony's "Crossroads"...

Is Arashi gay?

If they are "so what?!"

If they aren't "WHYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!!!" haha... How bout the Ohmiya SK happy ending I've been dreaming of?!

Seriously...

I don't really have anything against homosexuality... sexuality is a choice after all...

if any of them is gay, I'd still be supportive of them. They could still sing and act and make us happy even though they are gay right?

It doesn't matter.

But as far as I know... No one in Arashi is gay.

Funny Arashi

I was laughing my a** off again last night while watching one of the group's "G no Arashi" episodes in youtube.

Basically 2 clips about a game like "Memory" where in they choose 2 numbers from a matrix, each number having Ohno's and Sho's drawings at the back. The objective is to flip all the numbers 1-16 and whoever flips a pair gets a reward (some were not as rewarding though). Poor Sho, since he's the host, he just stood there and watched the 4 devour the scrumptious meals and rare items each one won.

Funny parts:
- We all know that Sho's the next best painter within Arashi (in the case that all the other three guys get crippled). Each time they flip a number and Sho's drawing pops out, the show suddenly becomes a guessing game. Nino's witty to note how Ohno's drawings become ordinary against Sho's despite of how great the oldest guy's drawings looked.
- Strategy would impose not to choose a number in two consecutive turns, it just spoils your chance. But there was this time when Aiba chose a number just recently flipped. The others were like "is that you being naturally dumb or were you purposely going for it?"... *wasn't able to hear Jun's voice clearly.*

Hai. This made my night.

Arashi vs. HSJ

Atarashi addiction, hajimaruyo!!

I think I'm gonna be addicted to yet another band.

HEY Say Jump!!

This is what I've been afraid of. Another addiction!!

Arashi's more than a handful already. A new addiction is suicide. It means I have to split the time, which I don't really have, to feed my addiction.

But I'm reserving all my fantasizing for Arashi. Little Chinen's too young to be the object of my fantacies. He's like a little brother...

Maybe if he steps into his 20s... Man, he's so cute now, I can't imagine how gorgeous he'll be by that time!!

Noting:
Ohno's birthday: November 26
Chinen's birthday: November 30
so close. Maybe they can celebrate their birthdays together.

But no, Ohmiya SK will always be my number 1 pairing. Zutto, itsumademo, always, forever.

I didn't get addicted to the minis. But I was addicted to another band -- KAT-TUN. But it was also a short-lived addiction. Because I came running with arms wide open back to my original addiction - Arashi. (every now and then I check up on KAT-TUN though... but I only go as far as 'checking up' and I don't go into details.)

And it seems that I've learned to like all of Johnny's talents.

Arashi Lyrics and Translations

I have been looking for a site just like this and haaaaah! I'm so thankful to have stumbled upon one while reading recent lj entries.

Jun's Drama for 24 Hour TV

Click me for the snippet from nana-komatsu7's lj.

I just watched a sneak peek of the drama. Sniff. It's kinda sad but I think it'd be an inspiring one. As always, MatsuJun looks like he gave the role more than the justice it deserves. ^_^ No, but really, I think it is yet another hair raising performance from Arashi's drama royalty.

The drama is a true to life story about a father who has a certain kind of disease that takes his ability to walk and stand away from him.

Looking forward to it!

This made me think for a while... ^_^

I wanted to vote for "Truth" but ended up voting for "One Love"...

I dunno... I just think the latter is a happier song. It can be also transformed into something Christamasy.

Whatever they play, I don't mind. As long as it's Arashi...

Arashi Message alert tones

I don't have much but I think I'd share it with you guys. (whoever finds their way here, I guess.)

Hope you guys appreciate it. ^_^
More to come later.

A rundown: How is Truth doing?

Click: http://saladesu.livejournal.com/

It's actually good news for all of us. Despite of the slight bump on the road, it looks like Arashi's back on track. Yappari, there's nothing that could ever pull these guys down. Even the nastiest news won't be able to make them hit rock bottom.

Not now, not ever, not while they have their fangrils!! Ne?!!

I'm so happy for them. I hope this makes them feel better. Actually they deserve this, for working so hard, and for taking every blow without violently fighting back. After all, the people in the fandom did much of the fighting back for them.

Remembering...

Though one of the saddest things that ever happened, I think Ohno's scandal was one of the times when I realized how fangirls aren't just half-brained girls squealing and screaming for their guys. We aren't just that.

We aren't just here to scream, and flail, and die due to massive droolage and heart attack. I think the main role of fangirls is to SUPPORT like what most of us did while Ohno was battling his own storm.

Arashi-chan!! Ganbare!! I'll be here to support you, itsumademo!!

What their shirts say

I can't help but write something about this. I was looking at some of the pictures I have just dled and here's what I got... a sudden urge to write about what's written on their shirts. With the exception of GAP, Levis, etc. etc.

Ohno:
Impossible is nothing
I got lucky at lucky strike
Whatever
Four Men a Venus Loved (don't get it)
Refresh your mind, body, and soul
Chippendale Drop-out (not quite sure about this)
I *Heart* You (definitely one of my favorites!!)

Nino:
Close your eyes play the game (so Nino!! another favorite)
Snow White (at the back Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
Will go for a picnic with you (written backwards, another one of my favorites)

Sho:
As long as there is music (back of shirt)
Blondes
My Mind is Set (so is mine. lol)
Splendid
Fantasy is more important than knowledge (yeah!!)

Jun:
Saw the potential of all the people (guessing here as his jacket covered the first and last parts of the words)

Aiba:
Super Rat Boy (Okay?)
The Fake (not sure)

Just these for now.

Basing on the few statement shirts I've seen Arashi wear, Ohno, Sho and Nino wear the best ones.

Rant n Rave: Ninomiya Gimmick Game concert perf

O my... I know this is really really really late... But I've been meaning to watch the thing on youtube... and I know that a lot of people have actually commented on this already....

But here goes my random rambling...

I almost died seeing that devious smile after the finger going across his neck. Damn Nino! You know how to play the game!!

He definitely knows what he's doing.

Physically, he's not the sexiest member, he's not even sexy. But Nino sure is oozing with sex appeal...

Raining Cats and Dogs

It's raining cats and dogs today. There's a storm coming so it's so hard to convince myself to go to work. Well, since I've known Arashi, dragging myself out of the house to go to work became more difficult each day. However, skipping 1 workday means 1 paid day less which consequently means less money to spend for cds and magazines of these boys... So they make me go crazy... to go to work or not to go... that is the question.

Huhhhhmmm... Waiting for the rain to subside...

Last entry before I go to work...

Still can't stop thinking about Ohno's tan and his jaws... so sexy...

Waiting for Forever

Well, not quite.

So sleepy but I'm waiting for my Maou Ep. 6 dl to finish... *thanks to aimee at VOX*

yey.. there it's done...

I just wanted to make this last entry before I go to sleep..

Noting Ohno's weight loss... Yeah, I noticed that there was something new with him before Maou even started.. not just the black hair.. something else. It didn't occur to me that he lost weight... At least not until I read from somewhere that he lost 10 kg... A whopping 10 kg... Whew... Anyways, he looks better now. I love staring at his face, the sharper angles of his jaws...

Jaa. Oyasuminasai minna!!

Ninomiya Kazunari Wallie - My Fanart

Something I worked on during the weekend. It's not perfect but I just want to put it here... to track my progress. ^_^

Random Arashi # 2

I'm so happy being a fangirl. This is the first time that I've really taken interest in something and kept at it for quite a while. Though it's true that I get addicted to stuff immediately, I can't really hold on to them for a long time.

I think I've fallen in love not just with Arashi but I've also fallen in love with the fandom. Tanoshii desu. It's fun.

Amazing too. I can't help but get amazed at what the fandom has brought about.

FRIENDSHIPS
Formerly strangers, now friends, linked by just one group -- Arashi. I'm so happy to have found people whom I can talk to about my thoughts and feelings regarding the group (at first) and then as with normal friendships, the relationship grows deeper and the conversations become more serious and cover more topics (not Arashi related).

CREATIVITY
I get inspired by how some fans do some wonderful things like graphics, most especially. Whenever I roam around blogs, I see some wonderful graphics that I can't help but admire. Think banners, avatars, wallies, icons...
Piano and vocal renditions of Arashi songs -- great.
Hand drawn stuff
fanvids
how can I forget?! -- FANFICS -- I'm a fan of a few fanfic writers out there... I enjoy reading their stuff.

Random Arashi #1

3 days off work. Soaking myself on some Arashi love again!!

For days that I don't have much to do, I look through the stuff I have managed to collect -- of course, Arashi related. And I try to organize them, that's my oc self kicking in again.

I just made myself a list of things that I have and things that I don't have yet and where I could get them. I'm talking about pics and links here. I've managed to put in maybe, what, 6 links.

I can't wait for the subbed 6th episode of Maou.. Haven't watched the 5th one yet.

Still sleepy for coming home late last night. I had a lot of fun though. I was planning to spend those hours doing some Arashi stuff but then it's good to go out and have fun even for a while ne? Plus, Arashi won't go anywhere...

Really random right? lol.

So I was also looking at some pictures... And I remembered this thread discussing which member is most photogenic. A lot said that Aiba is photogenic.. Nino mo.. Of course I had to say MatsuJun coz he really knows how to work with the cameras. But as I was looking at the pictures, I realized Aiba does look good in pictures.

Well, here's what I think... I think during photoshoots, MatsuJun easily adapts to the lights and the cameras. Guess he's been born to smile and project in front of the camera. Aiba, on the otherhand looks like he's having difficulties but the finished products are always perfect. I dunno.

Random enough?

But Ohno doesn't really know how to communicate with the lenses... so he comes out always looking awkward in his pictures. However, lately, I think he improved a lot. Maybe doing a drama helped him a lot in improving his projection. Think Oricon... major nose bleed.

Nino.. knows he could make someone fall for him by doing what he's doing. Get what I mean? I was watching the making of Aozora Pedal just the other day. I caught a glimpse of him looking so cool, knows very well that the camera's on him. Just perfect.

Sho isn't as dramatic as Jun and Nino but he looks good in most of his pictures. I love pictures of him showing off the corners of his face. Good lighting helps him look good in his pictures. His pictures are normal and safe, yeah... But they can be oozing with smexiness sometimes.

So most photogenic for me, Aiba... Next will be Nino... Then Jun, then Sho, then Ohno.

Maou Episode 4

here for subbed episode: http://sakurai-storm.vox.com/

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD
*that's if you haven't watched the episode yet.*

Compared to the first 3 episodes, this episode is less thrilling. It's basically a 45-minute long flashback of episode three and the incident that happened 11 years ago.

Midway into the drama, I think it's the best time to stir up the viewer's minds.

In this episode, confusion dominates the air.

As he sees the monster of his past rise above him, Nauto decides to leave the force as he feels that he has been a failure. 11 years isn't enough time for him to totally forget what happened between him and Hideo.

Desperate to pin down his friends' killer, he blindly points at Yamano.

Yamano, 11 years ago, was the friend of the kid who died in Nauto's hands.

Nauto's hopes now lie on little Sora's hands. Wanting to know who's behind Yousuke's death, the police decide to show Yamano to Sora. But as Yamano had asked, the child didn't admit to knowing the man. This crushes the detective's hopes.

New characters rise as a reporter in search of vengeance attempts to team up with Naruse. He asks Naruse to turn down Serizawa's offer to be his late adviser's replacement. But Naruse has better things in mind and goes the opposite way.

After their failed attempt to prove Yamano's guilt, they narrow their search down to Hideo's family. Nauto is pretty sure that this has something to do with the death of his classmate in high school.

Tracking the family down is another failed attempt as the only link they had already died. Hideo's mother died not long after he did. Not being able to cope up with the stress and sadness brought by her son's early death, she gave up just like that. The other one, Hideo's brother died the year after he did -- or at least in paper.

--***---

I'm really really confused. I don't know what's happening. Who the real killer is. I thought that all I had to do for the rest of the drama was to see how Naruse's mind works. But at this point, I don't know who's who anymore.

For episode 5's teaser, I saw Ohno holding up one of his red envelops and taking out a tarot card. Based on his reaction, I'm guessing it was not from his set of cards. Someone had sent him one too.

Time to laugh - Cracksubs of O no Arashi

I have watched this episode unsubbed.. It was funny the first time and I think it's a whole lot funnier with the cracksub..

Here's what got me laughing tonight.

How about it? I'm so in love with Arashi and Arashi fans... everybody's just so creative, funny, and resourceful. I'm enjoying every minute of my fanaticism...

"Truth" - PV

Maou's soundtrack performed by Arashi.

Thanks to the uploader: mentos230

Linked to the video right at this spot.. but the video's gone now...

2 pvs in one night. First the Kaze no Mukou e, now this.

I'm so loving being a fangirl right now.

After the series of batteries the group has received, I'm finally relieved that now, everything's going great.

Nothing can ever affect my admiration for these guys...

MUSIC VID BLAHS:
- I'm so loving Ohno's face. I can and would definitely melt under his gaze...
- I love the pv... perfect. The orchestra and the suits, and the darkness that encompasses the pv... they all melted together and formed one great and tasteful pv.
- hands down to the person who planned their suits... you hit the bull's eye... I'm so having major nose bleed just by looking at them.
- Johnny... do you hate us that much that you kill us all the time and revive us just the same?

MESSAGE TO EACH ARASHI MEMBER:
inspired by the pv:
Nino - can you not look like that? lol. You make my heart go doki doki... I'm afraid I'm gonna need help running after it once it jumps out of my throat...
Aiba - you keep on stealing the spotlight ne? But I don't mind. You, given your height, stayed at the center and up front -- while Nino and Ohno looked like dwarves behind you and Matsujun...But I love you still..
Ohno - you're so evil... you make me want to stop breathing. Yo're so confident that you can revive me no?
MatsuJun - can you please stop slithering?! I've lost a pint of blood already just by looking at your face.
Sho - my precious hunk!! I didn't see much of you in the pv... maybe not your moment... but you own Kaze no Mukou e!!

can't not love Arashi... I love you guys to pieces!!

*excuses self to go find a corner where I can cry and melt*
*before that, this is the first time I've virtually squealed, kyaaaaaad, and flailed simultaneously so it just means i'm so happy, joyful, excited, hopeful, and proud of the guys.

Arashi-chan!! Yatta ne!! You've surpassed your own storm, now on to your tenth year!! Ganbare!! Fight-o!!
